Breaking from My Flashcard Hell

Summer in Oregon is a thing of beauty and is comprised of all good things.  Summer in NY ... makes me miss winter.  I'll take 17 degrees and my puffy coat over this hot sticky mess any day.

The new roommate moves in this week.  She brought her dad with her apartment hunting, which E and I loved.  She's a bit of a Bambi (capital B) but she seemed quite nice and fairly normal so I'm hoping for good things.

Saw Wanted tonight.  It wasn't what I thought it would be at all, but I still found it an enjoyable distraction.  And a good thing I liked it too b/c ... the bars start in 30 days.  I have therefore officially "grounded" myself until August with only a couple brief outings planned as rewards for good behavior.

This is random, but an old friend from high school just found me on Facebook and it absolutely made my week.  He was the only person left on my list of people I've lost contact with over the years that I really regretted not keeping in touch with.  He is also, incidentally, the first guy to ever eviscerate my heart -- lol, but that was long ago and in a land far, far away.  ;-}  At any rate, he popped up and is doing really well and it just me a smidgen happier to know he's out in the universe happy, healthy, and doing good things.

And with that, I'm off to contemplate the "criminal facilitation" wrinkle in NY's accomplice liability law.  Fun.
