He's too young -- But I like cute things!!!
Aaaaaaah, it's so cute!
I never thought I'd be the object of unrequited love, and yet here I am on Valentine's day, getting calls from not one but two love-struck boys.
I've never gotten a single call on Valentine's before! Oh my goodness!
So here's the thing - Obviously, the first call was from my boyfriend, Yoshi, who is wonderful and planning a romantic dinner on Saturday night.
And then - out of the blue, not expecting it - I got a second call from this boy named Chiro (who was the first person I'd met at my church).
Oh, Chiro.
Now, you may ask, why don't you like Chiro Casey? He's really good-looking - he's charismatic and popular - he has an amazing singing talent, and leads worship with guitar and voice at church -- what's not to love?
Well, maybe the fact that he's fifteen years old. He's not that much older than my kid sister!!!
And yet he has this giant crush on me...
Of course, he hasn't said a word to indicate that he likes me -- and won't say a word because he knows I have a boyfriend, and he knows it couldn't work, and even so... everybody knows. It's just obvious, the way he always sees and me his eyes just get huge and he stops and waves no matter what he's doing and calls me up all the time and always seeks me out and leaves me text messages to make sure that he's going to get to see me at church.
He doesn't hate my boyfriend; in fact, it's the opposite - Chiro idolizes him. He's told me that my boyfriend's just such a cool guy, you know and he wants to be cool like Yoshi, too, and you know what? This summer, he's going to work to get a sixpack, to be really muscular just like Yoshiaki. And it's so cute, and it's soooo sooo sad, I want to cry and laugh at the same time.
Plus, all of the high school girls seem to be jealous of me.
Again, this is new!
Why couldn't this have happened when I was fifteen too!!!?
And why is he so darn adorable!?? I can't bear to break his heart!!! And hear he goes, calling me on Valentine's Day.
