me: gomen ne, the photo above is small. lol it was a screencap from my phone while i was watching Johnnys World using it.:P
Hi there folks! I've watched Johnnys World on NHK earlier twice and I managed to take down some of the things which were mentioned there. Tbh, I had a hard time typing, watching and listening all at once. And because, I love hyphens , most especially those who wasnt able to watch it online or via their mobile. I wanna share this Quick Update that I've done. Its not really the exact words or lines that they used but i tried to put the main focus or thing that they were talkin bout. Anyway, I watched the English dubbed one. :) so.. on with the update!
• The Instructor He said the older celebrities (Jr's' sempais) take responsibilities of what they asked them to do , They do what they are told to do. (During these lines of his. I've heard him mentioning KAMENASHI maybe he used him as an example, like a role model. I watched the english dubbed live streaming video and sometimes, when its dubbed, they tend to omit and/or changed the lines. So in this case, I think they used 'celebrities' in general
• Interviewer: To look at the boys as they joined Johnnys and to know which kid has what it takes to actually make it
Johnny-san: No, Its actually not like that. Im not a God. That'd be impossible
• Johnny-san have formed a baseball team named "Johnnys" Its like theyre the 1st Johnnys group. He was overwhelmed and stunned with the West Side Story musical movie so he took his team to see it and liked it. They said they wanted to do that too and they went to the theater to watch it so they could learn and memorize the dance steps there. Whenever they failed to memorize some parts, Johnny-san and the boys will go and watch it over and over again until they memorize it all. So basically, thats the start of Johnnys.
• Hideaki Takizawa (to Johnny-san) : Sometimes, I think that hes totally crazy, but he wants to do and/or create things that nobody has done and seen before.
When we disagree, Its a chance to see what hes serious about. That encourages me to change my mind. When he doesnt back down and he's really stubborn, then i realized that hes serious about it and I go w/ his idea.
• Johnny-san said that he goes to performances but ignores the performance itself because he's observing the audiences' reactions. He doesnt stay in one place. He tend to move around.
• He was asked why he wont make his face shown or appear in the camera and answered, "Why am I on this side of the camera? If I were on the other side, I would feel like a performer. I must not think like a performer thats why I sit over here. I sit to observe audiences' reactions. Nobody notices me. I can hear all their reactions by myself"
• Johnny-san: Japanese entertainer came to the US. This happens quite a lot. We were in the position to welcome them. Even right after the war, theres still no theathers so we use our temple to serve as a theater and thats where we did everything. I interpreted and helped everyone out.
• Johnny-san used to be an interpreter for US military
• Johnny-san was born in Los Angeles, CA USA. He's a US citizen too. As a boy, he loves musical and plays in the US, His dad was a buddhist missionary.
• Johnny-san tends to say all the time that Koichi Domoto is the worst but the celebrities said that its actually a compliment from him.
• Interviewer: There are so many boys who want to get in to Johnnys. What do you look for?
Johnny-san: Theres no need to choose among them. Those kids who want to do it, should do it.
• The children really taught me so much
