Well, I am back in Wesley Hall for my senior year, second year as a Resident Assistant.
I thought I'd never be able to be here and not be completely overwhelmed with missing last year's staff. But I am starting to walk down hallways..and I don't think "oh this is Craig's old hall" I think "oh this is Biz's hall." This staff makes me laugh, they work incredibly hard, they're fun, and we all pick on each other (or just me?) right away.
However, it is weirder than hell to be here, working in my room, and not have my most esteemed co-worker stop by and try to convince me I'm working too hard. The urge to call him that first night was overwhelming, but when my head hit the pillow, I was out. I still miss him, and them all, but this year's staff is shaping up well.
We had the "Living in a Fishbowl" discussion, and returning RAs were pulling slips of paper out of the bowl to discuss various things that can affect your job and how everyone sees you. I got relationships.
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.
I need to get some sleep. I might become 'unstable.' Hmph.
