OMG its an update!
So I figured it was about time for a proper update.
Surgery Stuff:
I've lost about 75lbs, and I'm not even to my 3 month out mark yet. I started at 332.5 the day of surgery (350 was my highest known weight), and the last time I weighed about 2 weeks ago, I was at 260, and I'm sure I've lost a little more since then, just haven't been around a scale. I started at a size 26/28(3x) for shirts and pants, and I am down to a size 20 pants, and a size 16/18 for shirts. I'm thrilled beyond belief. A couple of weeks ago I was REALLY sick. I had to go to see my surgeon's office, and they gave me three bags of IV fluids in the course of a couple of hours because I was so dehydrated. The next Monday, I had to have an endoscopy done. Basically, they lightly sedated me, stuck a tube down my throat and stuck a camera down the tube to take a look. Turns out that where they sewed my esophagus back onto my stomach, and my stomach onto my intestines, it healed too tightly, which is why I had been getting so sick. So they stuck a little balloon down the tube, and blew it up slightly to stretch those openings out. Since then I have been doing a bit better, but it is a slow process.
Divorce Stuff:
Rick and I have talked a few times, and we are trying to keep the whole situation as friendly as possible. We have decided not to file papers until he gets back stateside next August so that we can continue paying on all of our bills, so hopefully once the divorce is finalized, we can both have fresh starts. We have given each other full permission to move on relationshipwise. He will be coming to Texas to see me and my parents for a couple of days on R&R, then he will be flying home to Nevada to visit with his parents. That should happen sometime towards the end of January, or at least that is how it's looking so far.
Relationship Stuff:
Brad and I are still 'together', although it is a work in progress. A couple of weeks ago, he told me he loved me, and that I was marriage material, and that he could totally see himself marrying me one day. It about made me turn into mush. He has been saying/doing alot of really sweet things lately, and I have fallen completely head over heels for him. I had feelings for him way back in the day when we first met, but never thought anything of it. Now that we are 'together', and always spending time with each other getting to know each other and stuff, those feelings I had have come back ten fold, and I have feelings for him that I have NEVER had for ANYONE, not even Rick. We are taking things relatively slow, but that isn't a bad thing, seeing as how my last relationship went after rushing into things. I didn't end up moving in with him, I'm living back at my parents house for right now trying to save up some money. The moving in with him thing is going to happen soon enough though!
