I'm so Uptown.
Man I haven't posted in a while. And I told myself I'd be better about this! Grr, I have to learn to stay on top of things...
-3 weeks left of summer school/tutoring. It hasn't been that bad so far though. Its for sure going by quicker than last summer and I actually enjoy tutoring. I think I might do it again in the fall. As long as its only twice a week.
-I just got my hair redyed and restyled. I haven't gone since the beginning of March. Big mistake. My roots were DISGUSTING and my bangs were at the most awkward length ever. But whatever, at least I'm put together now. I also just got a manicure and pedicure. And have done a good deal of shopping lately. 100 points for me.
-I'm getting a dog soon :) My mom and I are going to Pocket Puppies this weekend (I just spent three hours there yesterday) to talk to them in-depth and pick out which puppy we like the best. We both really love the Boston Terrier but fear its a little too big for an apartment like ours. It only gets to about 12 pounds but we need something that doesn't long to play in yards so we'll see if thats a good fit. Otherwise I think I'll be going for either a Yorkie or a Yorkie-poo. No matter what I end up with though I'm super excited. I've wanted a dog since I was like 3. Every Christmas I'd expect a box with holes on the side and a puppy inside and every Christmas I'd be let down. Obviously I got other great gifts and had a good childhood (don't want to make it seem otherwise) but I really can't wait to finally have this dream come true. SO. THRILLED.
-I'm sick of this insane weather. I don't even mind it not being in the 90's like it usually is this time of year (even though thats more in August than July...) but I can't take anymore rain. Its so depressing and it always leads to me having headaches and feeling ill. I need nothing but sunshine. A day at 75 degrees with no humidity and a full sky of sun would be ideal. Do you hear that Chicago?
-I'm really annoyed that NBA TV isn't showing the Summer League games. Or rather that its only showing the Bulls games. I mean, thats the point of that channel. NBA all day every day. And they showed it last year so it really urks me that this year I'm left empty handed. They offer all the games online for a flat fee of like $15 but I don't want to watch basketball on a tiny MacBook. I want to watch it on a huge flat-screen. And I want to be able to record and save the games. FUCKING SHIT. At least they're going to show the Bulls games though. Otherwise I would have really flipped a shit. I can't wait to see how our drafts pick perform. So far the picks as a whole have been doing well. Tyreke Evans and Stephan Curry especially. I'm impressed.
I'm going to read my new InStyle (complete with Izzy on the cover) and perhaps watch some House online. I gotta get up early tomorrow to shower and then go to school/work. Only 3 more weeks. Too bad a few weeks after that I start fall semester. Sigh. Its all so tiring sometimes.
