[You know, he knows exactly why you're saying that, too. Or at least... he can hazard a very good guess. Because guess who else would almost rather swallow sandpaper than go to work--except he has a much greater need to earn enough to eat given how much he eats, and at least he has a piano to huddle behind the entire time.
It's really uncomfortable, embarrassing (perhaps he should blindfold himself), and if Rin weren't housing another girl at the moment he might have already been guiltily hanging around and shuffling his feet.

What makes you think it won't? [Because Kanda's still holding onto the hope that this is just like any other curse, and it only goes on for so long. And even if she'd probably agree, he wasn't sure if he could just. Ask Lenalee to help him with his problem. It's embarrassing and he doesn't want to push her into it every time, especially when she's not suffering on her own.]
