[Feed kicks on to a young man's voice. Looks like another new arrival.]

Hey- what is this thing? Hey! Lemme have it back!

[Video comes on as Luffy takes the device back, he doesn't keep the camera level, and it's a bit too close to his face.]

This isn't like any kind of Den Den Mushi I ever saw, or a dial. Is this some kind of toy?

A Den Den Mushi! It's a snail with a radio on it. Haven't you seen one before?

[Luffy thought everyone on the Grand Line had one.]

And don't worry, it tastes bad.

...why would you put a radio on a snail?

And that's not what you should be concerned about. It's a machine. You shouldn't try to eat it.

Because you can't use it if you take the radio off.

It doesn't look like a machine, it's too small.

Why wouldn't it work without the snail?

...what sort of machines are you used to?

Nope, you have to have the snail and the radio or all it is is a snail and some junk.

[Hmm, Machines. You're asking a tough question, Sam. Mostly because Luffy's pretty stupid.]

My shipwright's a machine! Kinda. He's a cyborg! There's machines that help people navigate, but we don't need one of those. We have Nami.

Is a refrigerator a machine?

But radios can work on their own or is it different for you?

Yes it is, so are engines, and even something like a fan is it runs on more than just the natural air flow.

Oh! We have lots of machines like that!

What kind do you have?

Quite a few. For one, airplanes, but that is mostly the read outs and dials that let a pilot fly. The engine runs on combustion like a car or a bullet.

But, you said a cyborg? Our medical field isn't that advanced yet.
