Lingering in the Twilight Zone

I am exhausted and I feel very out of touch with reality at the moment. I thought for sure that I was going to fall asleep on the NY state thru-way on the way home from Vermont. Thankfully I didn’t. I used the “blare the Ipod to an ear bleeding decibel and sing along at the top of my lungs” method. I am pretty sure that I definitely freaked out at least one toll booth worker and perhaps a small child in the car next to me at a light…

The moral of the story is that my family is always more exhausting than I think (though I love them and their crazies all dearly) and I should get more than 4 hours of sleep some place other than a couch (my sister somehow always ends up with the bed when we are both home) before attempting to drive for 3 ½ hours by myself…
