summer language programs

I'm trying to expand my options for the summer. I'd like to teach English and study Chinese in China, but I'd be down to go almost anywhere to teach English and learn whatever language is around me (Thailand, anyone?).

Has anyone attended a language program/had experience with English-teaching programs that they would highly recommend?

also, wouldn't it be cool if some of us buddies made groups and did something linguistic together someday (college students: over the summer?)
