Bought the new Live album.I'm not too fond of the music...I think it lacks the creativity and flow of previous albums...but lyrically--they always hit the spot. This song has been playing on the radio often lately--and if you don't listen to the words it sounds kind of like everything else being played right now...but the lyrics are mighty nice( ( Read more... )

I Alone is an awesome song--I always feel supercharged after listening to it and it kinda brings back the ol' faith:)

Yes--it's so easy to be focused on "romantic relationships" that we forget the simple things that are wonderful in our lives.A few girls that I'm pretty close to have just had babies.I don't want children for myself--but babies are amazing to look at and be near. They make you see how silly it is to dwell on what could be instead of loving what is and trying to improve what you don't like. They bring everything back down to earth when they smile at you without judgement.

I like the line "I look at the sunset and I perceive".I think I perceive so much that I don't even pay attention to.To stop and listen for a minute instead of focusing on what's for dinner or how I'm gonna make my car payment...then I can sit on the porch or go for a walk and relax and exist as I was meant to.You have to wake yourself up from time to time.

I read parts of the Celestine Prophecy in high school(I'm 26 now)--and I remember that it was very thought provoking...and a bit over the top for me in some areas.I love those sorts of books though cause they direct my thoughts towards things that surpass ruts in life...I am definitely a seeker.

I'm glad the song helped.Maybe their next album will be a little more off the beaten path:)

Yeah I wanted to have kids when I was in my twenties, but realized that I was just trying to fill a void. I have a couple of friends that just had another one, and I know what you mean by just watching them in their innocence. Another good song would be Spirits in the Material World. Take care.
