regarding peer advisor question in the other thread and FY workshop in general:

1) first year workshop is a two-credit class that occurs once a week wherein you will meet with your peer advisor and do whatever is planned. leah weich is the supervisor for it and, thusly, is the instructor who appears on your schedules. just to clear up that confusion.

2) youll find out who your peer advisors are on the first day of lang orientation (monday immediately following welcome weekend) and youll be given the chance to hang out with them over the course of orientation week...and then continue to meet with them once a week, as mentioned above.

3) peer advisors are determined by the advising class youre registered for. por exemplo, ******SPOILER ALERT ****** i will be advising anyone who is registered for ivan raykoffs fundamentals of western music as an ADVISING CLASS. some people may be taking the class as a regular class. i will not be your peer advisor. so it is with each advising class/peer advisor. who sold the hip hop soul will have another peer advisor assigned to it, etc.

anyway. if you have questions regarding peer advising and first year workshops, feel free to turn this thread in that direction. im pondering joining the community, is that bad?
