(I don't think it's too much of a spoiler to the other players to share one of the less traumatic parts of Talisee's prelude here)
After a slightly complex chain of events led to her being kidnapped, my fourteen-year-old character Tally was dictated a ransom demand by her kidnappers.
Having established that they couldn't read, this is what she actually wrote:
Dear Daddy,
I'm really sorry about this but I've been kidnapped. They say that if you don't bring 1000 gold to the bluff above the town at midnight tonight they'll kill me, but don't worry, they won't really. And they'll totally take less than 1000 gold. I'm in a big cave just above the waterline, probably about a mile north of the town; I can hear the harbour gulls on the south wind. Please don't worry too much. I'm really, really sorry.
Love,
Tally
She also worked quite hard to talk her father's men out of killing everyone involved because 'they're not bad people really'.
I adore this character. That is because she is adorable. And given that this game has political machinations and a bodycount that rivals Game of Thrones, I am starting to feel really guilty about pushing this plump little innocent baa-lamb out to play among the wolves...
