This is my first crossover that does not use a character from Buffy or Angel. Woo! Yay me!

It's not Dark Fic, It's not Angst as such, it's a fic about the darkness deep inside yourself, and facing when even you don't like that part of you.

It's (Looks around shiftily and Steals jo_anne_storm's word) Awesome, and Something that goes deep into the motivations of the characters.

You Rock.

Thank you! You're right about the darkness. I think that's why I felt so uneasy about the fic, because I don't tend to focus on traits like this in characters like Daniel.

Great story. I don't think it's dark, just truthful. As far as we know clone Jack did get abandoned and the emotions you hit here seem pretty acurate.

It's just one of the things that came from that episode I hated. My first thought would be that SG-1 wouldn't abandon him... but it's actually quite likely they would.

Hm.

No real need to fear the flamers, I think. I only caught bits and pieces of the later epsoides, but never was CloneJack in them, so being abandoned is about right.

And John did pretty much abandon the boys from what I saw of Supernatural.

So no flames, merely 'oooooooh-sniffle'.

Which of course makes it a great time to poke, "Write more fragile existence fic!" Still one of the very few stories to make me tear up every time I re-read the existing chapters.

Really really really good characterization of everyone involved. Too bad it wasn't up in time for tth awards.
