This entry will be entirely about television. :-)
Good things:
- JOSH AND DONNA HAD SEX. TWICE. I have bad things to say about the episode later, but - JOSH AND DONNA HAD SEX. TWICE.
- CHARLIE WAS THERE! CHARLIE IS STILL ALIVE. Charlie wuvs CJ. (I didn't realize how much I missed Charlie til he was there. He's totally my West Wing boyfriend.)
- I caught the end of Spellbound on the free-so-please-buy-our-extra-channels-weekend-Showtime. Fantastic. I need to watch the whole thing. I wish I lived in a state with enough people that they bothered showing some of these small movies. I mean, Brokeback and Pride and Prejudice were both shown at the little artsy theater. Not artsy indie movies, Maine. 2 points for the effort.
- Meredith hanging out with the McDreamys. I love that. I LOVE THAT. I am all for the Addison/Derek thing, and I am all for the crazy triangle friendship. I love the joint custody of Doc, I love the "married - sorry/Mark - sorry/George" conversation. Meredith will never be celibate for any substantial period in her entire life, because she is, as my mother says every time we discuss the show, a slut. But now with 37% less whine! Now, I'm not saying that this didn't come out of nowhere, because it kind of did. I took Meredith accepting Addison's juju last episode as a first step, not as a 'BFF!' moment. I loved the interaction, however. If Derek weren't in the picture, I think Meredith and Addison would be friends.
- George. And George getting some. YAY.
- Naked Cristina.
- Denny. I love Denny. I can't help it. As much as I enjoy Alex, I love Denny. I love that he's recovering from heart surgery and trying to get in Izzie's pants.
- Burke. Always Burke.
Bad things. Very bad things:
- I was nearly as excited about George getting laid as I was about Josh and Donna having sex. Woahs. This is a very bad sign, West Wing. You are not the chipper young hip thing you once were. Where are Sam and Ainsley and Abbey and Zoey? Wasn't I promised all these people? Give me Sam and Ainsley. Who are so secretly married and in California making laws and babies.
- Callie lives in the hospital basement? How very Desperate Housewives/bad WB drama of you. Seriously, though. She lives in the basement? Does she have permission? Or did she just move all her stuff into there without anyone at all noticing? Does she pay rent? Does she have a bathroom down there? Are she and George going to have to live in the basement? That makes me sad.
- LEO. omg, Leo. I can't even. (Were Leo and Annabeth having a thing? I can't decide whether that's cute or weird or whether I should ignore it.)
- No Alex/Izzie scene? I want the angst! I want a screaming match in the middle of the hallway!
- KATE VOTED FOR VINICK? BAD KATE. THIS IS WORSE THAN THE BANGS.
- Grey's preview gave me the impression that Alex is going to have the exact same plot as he did this episode, only this time Addison will yell at him instead of Burke. But Shonda wouldn't do that, would she? Would she?
Good things:
