Sleep Training

Mostly for my reference:

Last night I inadvertently began sleep training Keiran. I was done with waking up every 2-3 hours. and at her age she should sleep 6-7 hours solid. We were originally going to start this when Daymon was home a few nights in a row in June. Last night I bounced and rocked her to sleep as usual. She was out at 8:15. I got on the pump at 8:35. She woke up at 8:40. Instead of detaching from the pump, I decided to see if she would stop crying on her own. After 5 minutes of solid crying and 2 minutes of half hearted protest cries, all was quiet. She then slept solid until 1 am when Daymon came home (stupid dog decided he was an intruder). She did not cry for long but in her moving about she got her arm stuck between the crib and our bed. Since it had been 5 hours from the initial bed time, and she was awake, I decided to go ahead and feed her. She was back asleep after the bottle but woke when I changed her diaper. I put her back to bed awake. She talked and moved about a bit but was asleep on her own by 1:40. She then slept until 4:40, only occasional fussy cries for about 5 minutes, back out in 20 minutes total. She woke up again at 5:45 and since it was nearly 5 hours I changed her and brought her in to bed with us and let her nurse. She was back out just after 6, woke again near 7, asleep again by 7:10, woke for good at 8 (she never sleeps for long once the sun is up, I need to put black out shades in the room to fix that). At her nap today, I was able to sneak away and she slept for 30 minutes more (I did not escape until 2 hours had passed as most of what I have read says to fix the night issues first). Tonight I put her down in her crib awake and wound up her mobile. Well the mobile stopped and there has not even been a peep for 30 minutes. I hope it continues to go so well, I may get serious sleep soon. With her stubbornness I thought it would be a real fight. After all I had to deal with the last month of screaming through tummy time before she accepted it. She is also eating much more at each feeding during the day. If this continues, I will need to graduate to the larger bottles.
