My privileged problems
I feel a little silly even complaining about this, because in the grand scheme of things, I have a lot going for me. I acknowledge that.
But I'm a little pissed at my Dad. He's not doing as well as usual financially, so he's cutting back on expenses. Which makes sense. But instead of cutting back on something like all of his travel expenses or the thousands of dollars he spends on alcohol every year or all of the expensive restaurant food he buys, he's stopped helping pay my college tuition (as of last Spring) and will be taking me off of his health insurance plan (as of this coming January).
If I were in his position, I would prioritize my child's health and education. But that's just me.
Just severing these familial ties a little more...
