Darkness Falling

Ochibichan had been far too happy for far too long, he decided, as he poked his head around the corner. The blond may have *looked* like he was getting irritated at the remarks about his height, but the inches he had grown while away from this world had done wonders of good for his self confidence. Having his chief tormentors as his lovers also meant that regardless of what was said, he wouldn’t take it to heart. Even now they were laughing, smiling in the sunlight in a way that he had never known and would never be able to have. Envy kicked the wall.

“… do you want to do tonight?” The woman asked, smiling indulgently at the youngest of the group. He was another one that needed to be hurt. He needed to know what pain felt like. The older boy, though, the one whom Hohenheim had treated like a son, the one he had raised as his own, taken in, cared for - - He would pay first. He had taken Envy’s rightful place after all, something that should never have been his. Something he had no right to take!

“…absolutely *not*, Edward. We are *not* going to the library…” The one with the eye patch said. Yes, Edward. Edward needed to be hurt most of all. He needed to have something truly awful happen to him, something to make him understand just what he had done. To make him see his sins in the clearest of ways…

Envy turned from his hiding place and began to trail after the group. On the crowded streets of Central, it wasn’t hard at all to follow from a reasonable distance. The fools weren’t even on their guard. Remarkable, really, how soft they had allowed themselves to get in the short time since they’d returned to this world. They entered a large house on the right several blocks later, and Envy paused for a moment to study the sign.

His revenge would fall with the darkness.
