Do you ever feel like you should know someone, like you have mutual friends or a class together and you obviously know who the other person is (and you're pretty sure they know who you are) but you haven't been introduced and it's just too damn awkward at this point to just introduce yourself? And you think it's possible that the other person might hate you for some unknown reason? This is silly, of course. I've become really good friends with people who I at one point thought hated me for no reason (which can be a fun conversation piece after the fact).
