So I attempted to check out this new "Sellout+" account thing. If you notice, I don't like it. Only true benefit I see, is the possibility to see comments in my style. Which isn't a big deal. This is why I haven't subscribed in the five or so years I'ev been with LJ. Anyways, they wanted a reason I switched back to free, so I gave them one. Here it is, in all its glory:
I don't like the fact that in order to access "new and improved" benefits, you put advertising on my pages, without making it clear to me that was what you were doing when I upgrade. I just got a random message saying to upgrade and get these new features, with a not-very-clear "advertising supported" (I assumed it meant that it could support advertising your journal or community) checkmark. The new features are not overly great. Rather, they're things I could easily do without while maintaining a clean and AD-FREE appearance of my journal, which I have had for going on five or so years. The only feature which I thought it would be worth was ScrapBook. However, there are hundreds of free image hosting services on the internet, of which I can use to host my photos. Unless you start getting your act together and come out with some truely beneficial and cool features, your advertising sell-out won't work, and I have no reason to upgrade to a paid account.
