valentine's days past
well, in the spirit of valentine's, i have decided to reflect upon the valentine's days i've had since i moved to this country.
1999 - fuck you arnab. you sucked on so many levels and i didnt; get a damn thing out of you on v-day.
2000 - brendan didn't get me anything either - but i sent him a care package of cake & candy, with a homemade pop-up card. i even decorated the pakage - lined the inside with red tissue paper & red gel film. i think thats the last time i've gone out of my way for someone on v-day - bc of nothing in return. so blame it on b-dawg, current man :)
2001 - um, what?
2002 - um, what?
2003 - i wasn't expecting anything bc the guy i was seeing was moving away so we weren't overly commiting. literally , when he said there was a thing we had to go out and observe that thing that was happening, i was like "what, there's a full moon? a meteor shower?" for real. but we went out & observed "chicago" instead
2004 - god, this guy was a dick. we got a night in a hotel in albany, and ordered take out. i pierced my belly button for him.
2005 - magnus got me a lil mary kay package, and i got him a bucket of dark hershey's kisses, which he somehow made last for like a year. for a v-day present to myself, i mailed restraining information to the guy from 2004.
2006 - amazing dinner in a thai restaurant with d-man. i'm pretty sure that jewelery was also involved, and possibly flowers as well. duncan did make an excellent boyfriend :)
2007 - can't wait to find out!
