At least in Hoenn, there had been things to keep him occupied, even when he didn't require them; on this island, however...well. If Groudon hadn't already destroyed his sanity, the lack of stimulus here would definitely be enough to have done it by now.
Of course, what he found near the entrance to that cave system would probably serve well enough as entertainment.
He keeps his distance for now, shifting his stance into something vaguely hipshot, folding his arms casually across his chest; he actually has the jacket on today, as opposed to leaving it behind - he's at a point where he honestly doesn't care whose attention he gets.]

[That statement could have very easily brought some heavy sarcasm with it; as it was, however, his tone remained mild, teasing at most.
The line between what constitutes a good day and what constitutes a bad one tends to be a fluid one, and this is looking to be a good one at the moment; his gaze darts down to the book in her hand before he returns his attention to her face.]
