(no subject)
My first post in my journal is a stolen questionaire...how boring is that?!
1.) Where did you ring in 2006? Spent the evening at my appartment by myself...I think...if that isn't right then I was at my parent's house, watching the ball drop on TV.
2.) What was your status by Valentine's Day? British fiancee visa in hand.
3.) Were you in school (anytime this year)? No
4.) How did you earn your keep? Social work job, then savings, now I have a job again.
5.) Did you ever have to go to the hospital? Nope.
6.) Have you ever encountered the police? Don't think so.
7.) Where did you go on vacation? Austria and Croatia.
8.) What did you purchase that was over $500? Various wedding expenses and a couple pieces of furniture.
9.) Did you know anybody who got married? We did as did one of my friends, Anne.
10.) Did you know anybody who passed away? No.
11.) Have you ran into anybody you graduated high school with? No. I went to a planned lunch with two people, but I don't think that counts as running into.
12.) Did you move anywhere? Yes, from Rome, Georgia to London, England.
13.) What sporting events did you go to? Ice hockey twice so far with more tickets for 23rd Dec!!
14.) What concerts did you go to? Katatonia, Anathema, one of the BBC Proms, and an opera.
15.) Are you registered to vote? In the States, yes. In the UK, I can't vote yet.
16.) If so, did you do your patriotic duty on Nov. 7? Nope, I was too busy applying for jobs like crazy (I know, excuses, excuses).
17.) Where do you live now? London, England.
18.) Describe your birthday. We went to one of the BBC Proms and then out to dinner. I think I also received a couple of books and the mandatory tea as part of my gift.
19.) What's the one thing you thought you would never do but did in 2006? Be so upset at being unemployed and so depressed at my lack of friends after moving. I'm embarrassed by how easily upset I was (and still am) about all things moving...seriously, don't bring up my lack of friends...I'll cry.
20.) What is one thing you regretted this year? I've been terrible to Kristen. I can't seem to be happy for anything and I take it out on him. I hate being so lonely and I know I'm being horrible to those around me, but I can't seem to stop.
21.) What's something you learned about yourself? I make an absolutely horrible unemployed person even if I chose to be unemployed in the first place.
22.) Any new additions to your family? I got married if that counts. I think that means that we're legally family now as are his parents.
23.) What was your best month? I had a good July when I spent two weeks in Croatia with a friend.
24.) What pop culture event will you remember 2006 by? Brit and Kev divorcing. Not sure why, but it fancinates me.
