The four following are all songs that I've written recently:

"Games"

Well, I've been playin' those games again,
and I'll be back to keep you with me.
If I fall, hold me up;
I'll pay you back - my promise to you,
but I don't like your tears,
so I'll give it up to hear your heart beat.
Don't be cold (just) 'cause I'm here in the end.

"Blue Waters"

Out on the ocean front,
waitin' on waves
to pull me in
to undertow,
and I don't know
why it takes so long
to get back home
through this rain.

Under the sea,
you seem so far away from me.
The new times
bring the old tides.
The rules are
you cannot cross the shore.
Well, then what's the point?
Incredulous,
I'll always miss
the smell of
blue waters.

"It's Gotta Be Love"

I never knew you quite so well
as I do now that you're falling down the stairs.
You've got that look in your eye
like the floor is simply more than you can bear.
Well, I've been down here waitin'
been contemplatin' how you stand so tall,
and when I heard that you were comin' down,
I just stood and dropped it all.

'cause I can see where this is going;
you're talking to yourself.
I see where you've been going,
so just break it off and break me.

So I'll meet you on the carpet;
we'll trade numbers, we'll trade dial-tones,
we'll lay around in pieces
on these gentle crying phones.
The static on your wrist-watch
never tells me when you'll go.
It sounds like we're breaking up,
so just tell me when you know.

'cause I can see where this is going;
you're pacing away from me.
I see where you've been going.
The reception died when you fell all over me.

I know it's been a long time since then,
but the memory still remains.
It's gotta be love.
It's gotta be love.
I held the feeling deep inside me;
well, lust couldn't hold me like this.
It's gotta be love.
It's gotta be love.

(This one's a bit more complicated. It's a duet that I wrote to sing with Courtney, so I've made a little scheme for your visual pleasure (and understanding). If it's italicized, then it's Courtney's part; normal is mine, and bold is both of us together. As for the way things are sung... well, sometimes we're singing different things at the same time, so there's no much to do for it, but I will mark parts that are carried over into the next with a tilde.)

"What If This Isn't the Way?"

Hush;
don't make a sound.
The titans have their way in this insidious
decree for an eclipse over me.
I will not fight, I will not run.
The treasure is a gleaming jewel of life
in it's purest form, untapped by mortal hands.
Let's dance for now upon my chest-
a coffin for my greediness.
Fall to the music of my heart.

Don't let me hear you say

What if this isn't the way?~
Drown those fears.
What if this isn't the way?~
But I'm still here.
What if this isn't the way?~
I don't want to hear
What if this isn't the way?

In the place in which you'll find me,
well, I know they're ready, waiting on their prey.
Gone, gone, gone.
The wishes that you'd hoped for true
will fall away, off this awkward branch.
Gone, gone, gone.
Gone, gone, gone.

What if this isn't the way?~
Don't be scared.
What if this isn't the way?~
Meet my stare
for the consequence~ What if this isn't the way?~
the loneliness; they never cared so
What if this isn't the way?
What if this isn't the way?
What if this isn't the way?

And the angels fall~ What if this isn't the way?
The Earth recedes to emptiness
and this car is lonely~ What if this isn't the way?
on its path, thinking
What if this isn't the way?
What if this isn't the way?
