This was becoming madness. No sooner did we think that we might have a hold on things then that demon had to come and pretty much tell us we were screwed even more now for trying. We had nothing left really. Plus there were less of us now. I wasn't sure where everyone ended up but I knew I wasn't with the group that was for sure. I couldn't see the

"Oh," I tried to brush off Buffy's compliment, for once a little awkward with praise. "I've said a few fibs in my day, though most of them were to Xander. And yes," I agreed before she asked. "I was probally under the age of ten at the time too."
But I did try, and maybe that's what Buffy meant. Suddenly I wanted to know what happened again, with Graduation. All the important things -- if we stopped the Mayor, if we lived through the doing of it, and if my diploma came out all right. And I realised I was sitting next to just the person who could answer all my questions. I smiled brightly at Buffy.
"God, the suckage factor here is totally going through the roof. There's gotta be something we can do."
"Well, it's not like we haven't tried," I tried to explain, not sure how to make the summary short and understandable. "Nothing has just really worked so far. But you're right about the suckage. One too many vampires, and not enough stakes around here for my liking."
"Hey, we are on a tropical island, why are we just sitting here? Let's go swimming or something!"
I was about to answer when a sharp whistle caught my attention, cutting through the salty air. Anya was making her way across the beach, and most of the others were with her.
"Look there is a lot going on here at once. I know there are some caves inland. If one or two of you want to go looking for them the rest of us should try and gather up whatever we can so that if the weather drops we don't have to worry about it. I think food and wood for a fire should be priorities. How we get the fire to work I think we will just have to sort out, unless anyone here has a lighter?"
I looked out briefly at the waves, before turning back to Buffy with a whisper. "Right, you see we sort of lost where we were staying. Really and truely lost it."
"Caves shouldn't be hard to find. I'll go to find food. I can tell what's safe to eat and what's not."
"Okay," I agreed, standing and offering a hand to Buffy. It was time to get back to work. "Then I can help with the caves, and maybe the fire. I was just starting to learn how...before."

Maybe we'd just have to see about takin' care of that little sitch. Man, these people were fuckin' idiots. There was trees right? You could find a stake anywhere you looked.
Can we skip the small talk and make with the skinny dippin' here?
She looked like she was 'bout to give in to my suggestion when somebody decided to fuck with my plans with a loud ass whistle and started talkin' all loud.
I turned my attention towards the group of people comin' our way.
Fuck. So much for my little private party.
The leader of this rain on my parade was that chick Anya (?) that was hooked up with Xander. Well, at least were I came from. Not so sure about this place.

I raised my eyebrow at first, but finally took Red's hand and let her pull me up. I gotta stay in Buffy mode man. It's too easy to slip out of it. From the looks of it, these people ain't gonna take my side if they find out the truth.
Not really lookin' to deal with some angry mob of losers.
"I'll stick with Willow." I smiled, fake as ever. "You know, in case there's any danger or whatever. Plus, I just kinda got here, so, she's been filling me in."

"Good for you. You do that."
Why do we have another Buffy? The first one was enough. The way she was hanging all over Angelus with her slut on made me want to rally to get her voted off of the island. I figured that their disappearance had to be some kind of gift to me and my fellow castaways.
Evil or not, the demon knows that there's only so much a person can stand before they turn to murder/suicide alternatives. The last time I checked she wanted us here alive.
But if she thinks Buffy and I will ever be able to peacefully co-exist, she has a lot to learn about her castaways.
"I'm going with Connor."
I don't care where he's been or what he knows, Angel would kill me if he knew I let his son hunt something without a babysitter. Besides, if this Buffy is anything like the last one, and since she's a variation of the same slayer whore she is, I want to make sure that Connor stays as far away from her as humanly possible.
"Fred, what about you?"

She wants to go so she can keep an eye on me. She doesn’t trust me to take care of myself. She doesn’t think I’ll be safe. I might protest and insist that I’ll be alright on my own, but really, I don’t think I would mind the company. I’m not used to having other people around, but I think if they were the right people, I could start to like it. I don’t think I mind having Cordy go with me. I like having someone to worry about me. I like having her worry about me.
I smiled and reached for my knife, forgetting again that I didn’t have it anymore. Hunting was going to be a little harder without some kind of weapon, but not impossible. Definitely messier, though. We might have to stick to plants and whatever fruit we can find for now. Skinning something for meat isn’t very effective without a knife to do it with. I really hate that purple demon for leaving me unarmed… among other things. I’m not too happy about being on this island, either, but noone really is.
I’m starting to think we just have to make the best of it for now.
“Where should we all meet up afterwards?” I asked, crossing my arms. If we got separated, I could track them easily enough, but it was more convenient to just have a set place to meet. Less confusing. Maybe a little more efficient.
