Therapy Room 3

Jun 26, 2006 21:28

Those pesky nurses had a habit of rushing in the second an announcement was made to literally drag all the patients to wherever they were "supposed" to be. Roy was left feeling a bit ruffled and upset after his nurse deposited him into an empty therapy room ( Read more... )

"You HIT her!"

Hojo tilted his head. What a familiar voice... it took a bit longer than he would have liked to admit to place it, but when he did he grinned, thoroughly amused. He hadn't expected to see the wayward Turk again so soon... though considering this was supposed to be a mental hospital he couldn't say he was too surprised. Swallowing another chuckle, he walked over to the two men and put his hands behind his back, tilting his torso slightly to the side so he could look Vincent in the eye.

"Still using those old Turk tricks, I see. You look surprisingly worse for wear after just a week, Valentine."

Vincent stopped dead, blood suddenly turned to ice.

His fingers' vice grip on Cid's restrained and twisted wrist loosened, and everyone else in the room, both familiar and stranger, disappeared as he stared into a face far more familiar than the haggard man he'd gunned down just days ago. Swallowing slowly, he spoke in a growl with the tone of the deepest human loathing.

"I killed you."

His eyes fixed on Hojo, and he saw nothing else.

"And I killed you, but going on about details like that won't get us anywhere, now will it?" To be honest he had no idea what Vincent was referring to; he'd never even come close to killing him-- well, he had come close, but only once. In any case, Hojo assumed that the experimentation had caused some sort of hallucination, or something similar... he would have loved to keep the man around to moniter the side-effects more efficiently, but this would have to do.

"No," he said icily, confusion rapidly replaced with pure anger. "I killed you. Why are you alive, you bastard?" He had completely released Cid (Cid who? Hojo.) and was advancing toward the (DEAD) scientist, both of his hands clenched.

"I'll kill you again if I have to."

With a slight frown, Hojo stepped back and to the side, perfectly content to circle if Vincent insisted on pursuing him. "Heightened aggression, that makes sense," he said, half to himself. "Though the hallucinations are a bit disappointing... tell me, what other physical symptoms have you had?" It was a shame he didn't have anything to take notes on.

It took a few deadly tense seconds for Vincent to understand exactly what was going on, and suddenly it clicked.

No.

With all the aggression of a man waiting thirty years for a semblance of vengeance, Vincent swung, connecting directly into the scientist's ugly fucking nose. He'd done it with his left hand.

Hojo yowled and reeled backwards, doubling over, hands flying to his nose(which was now bleeding merrily) as he tried to focus through the pain in his face. It hurt far more than it really should have, he decided after a moment or two of thinking on it... it took him another moment or two to realize exactly what that meant.

"Where the hell is your claw?" he demanded as he straightened slightly, one of his hands still over his nose; he wouldn't be surprised if it was broken. His voice was slightly warped because of it.

It wasn't until people started yelling at Cid that he fully realized what he had done. After all, it's hard to cover up the fact that you've just punched a sixteen year-old girl in the face when your fist is poised in the air for another hit, and it's even harder when you don't feel especially sorry for it.

This kid might not've been Elena, but she sure as hell was just as annoying as that newbie Turk. And fuck, when someone insulted the pilot and his adherence to his morals over his lifelong dream... there was always going to be serious shit going down. Sure, Cid could laugh things off if they were laughed at him, but this bitch didn't know what the hell she was talking about. At least Shera had ended up doing what she'd done for a fucking good reason, even if he hadn't believed it at first. This girl was just fucking superficial. The captain could see it in her eyes, her hair, even the way she was practiced in the art of crying. She didn't know what it meant to have something ripped from your heart like air out of dying lungs ( ... )

Hojo couldn't help but scowl, though the expression wasn't as deep as he would have liked considering how much pain his face was in. He pulled the hand that was still covering his nose away, gingerly fingering the wound to see one if it was actually broken and two if he could set it himself.

"I have no idea what you're talking about," he spat at Cid, voice still annoyingly nasal. "Keep restraining him, please; I'm afraid he's a threat to my immediate health."
