He didn't like the way they were being moved around today. It was all too much, too fast, especially with all the new people being announced. It made his wonder what the staffer were trying to keep them all distracted from. Then there was this lockdown thing they claimed was for repairs. He looked around the empty room he'd been escorted into with

“I am Hao… Hao Asakura. And I know who you are… We met a week ago or so.” He didn’t add he hadn’t been able to remember his name. Hao was naturally bad with those.
He frowned. What the hell had happened during night? The last thing he remembered was being in the kitchen with that blonde kid, and then they had been teleported, and then he had gone to sleep…
The shaman felt a pull on his chest as the Spirit suddenly leaped at what it perceived as a large source of energy, and caught him on his arms more out of surprise than actually thinking.
“Spirit of Fire, I’ve told you not to…!” he went still as his familiar stared up at him with large liquid green eyes that stared up at him questioningly.
Spirit of Fire had changed too. Instead of the elongated, snake-like body it had developed during the short stay in this institution, it was back not to it’s sprit ball form, larger than most due to his powers, meaning it was now the size of a toddler or so. It curled it’s short tail around its master’s wrists and waited on his grasp, not understanding why its Master was staring at him like if he had never seen him before.

"I am sure I would have remembered if we had met," said Xellos. "Although do not be worried. According to someone I met here, it's possible to come across people you have met and yet be totally strangers. I believe he said it was alternate identities or something of the sort."
He looked at the boy and inwardly frowned. He wondered what his other self had gotten from him, whether he could use him or whether he should stay away. Ah well, the boy seemed friendly enough, so it appeared that from the boys' perspective they were... companions of sorts.
"Ah, so his name is Spirit of Fire." said Xellos. While the little tike looked red, he couldn't really place him as a flame, so he'd have to take the boy's word for it. He noticed also how it had tried to lunge at him and made a note to himself to make sure to not let his guard down against the little fireball.
"Well, if you could make sure he does not get too close, that would be very kind of you. It's a pleasure meeting, or... re-meeting you both, I should say."
He noted the strange expression on Hao's face. "Is something the matter?"

The shaman hugged the Spirit closer to himself, making the creature stare up at him again and nuzzle his arm, crooning softly in question.
“This place had already changed Spirit of Fire’s shape… it had contaminated him, but now he’s back to… Back to how he was 500 years ago.” His frown depended. “It changed everything but me. Why?”
He was silent several more seconds, before sighing.
“It doesn’t matter. Don’t worry about him. It just sensed you as a source of Mana and tried to absorb you… He won’t do it again…”
The Spirit blinked again at the shaman, then stared at the Cone and flattened the small horns it had on its head against it and glared. Hao usually didn’t deny him food. Hao was Master, and was supposed to give him strong spirits so he’d be stronger for Him.

"Well, from what I hear, this place likes to change people. I have heard of physical changes, but this is the first I've had of astral or spiritual changes.
"Tell him that if he ever is really hungry to at least ask first. It's not polite to try to eat everything in sight."
"So... how did I meet you?" he asked, curiosity getting the better of him. "I'm assuming here, right?"

“…Much like right now.” Said the brunette, sweatdropping slightly “Spirit of Fire tried to feed off of you.”

Well, if he knew anything about himself, it would be that he would not easily let people know who or what he was. They had met a week, so he probably hadn't mentioned much, if any at all. Probably. Then again, he knew he was unpredictable... sometimes, it really did not help being such a loose cannon. But it was so much fun!
"So... tell me about yourself, as you seem to know more about me than I know about you." He smiled at him, encouraging him to speak.

“Well, as I told you before, my Name is Hao Asakura. I’m a master Omniouyi and a shaman. This is my Spirit companion, Spirit of Fire, the Fire genie…” he chuckled lightly. “I know he doesn’t look very impressive right now, but he’s the most sacred Spirit on earth… Also, his temper is not the same as I, he is very easily angered, so please don’t irritate him on purpose. The other you seemed to be able to manage all right, even thought he tried to get on fights with the other demon often… ”
He tried to think what else could he add, but couldn’t come up with anything else of importance he could tell.
“Is there anything else you’d like to know?”

"I see... I will remember that your Spirit is sacred and do my best to not anger him, although it appears that my character easily angers people, for some reason." He shrugged. "I guess it's part of the job description, iritate others although it looks like my past self liked you well enough, if you knew who I was."
"So... you are a patient here as well. Have you tried escaping yet? How hard are the enemies around here that I seem to hear so much about?"

“And you didn’t exactly told us much, so don’t worry about it. At the risk of sounding rude, unless I have to fight you, I’m not particularly interested on it either. It’s just I can sense your astral form…and Spirit of Fire can see it.”
The boy blinked.
“Ah, well…there are monster’s in most places at night. If you want to stay relatively safe, your room is the best option. Animals turn into monsters during nightshift, and so does the staff. There is a monster on the freezers, and another one in the basement. I heard the nurses are terrible, tough I’ve never had to fight them yet… Only a thing made of …cake, and another one made of dishes, at the kitchen.”
“Didn’t the pink kitty fill you on this? Or she doesn’t remember you either?” He looked around to see where the diclonius is. How very rare of her not to be following the demon around like lost puppy.

"I don't believe I remember a pink kitty. Green kitty, yes, but that was from back home, and not here. I haven't seen her here, as I just got to this place recently. She perhaps has not awoken yet, or is in another of the rooms."
Hm,... Kadaj hadn't mentioned animals, but then, he probably had those covered under 'monster's in general.
"OK, so far, I have stay away from doctors, stay away from nurses, stay away from cake and dish monsters, stay away from animals.... My this area sounds more and more like a demonic resort..."
"And no offense taken at your comment. I myself don'[t mind that I'm a demon, so I really don't see why others should as well." He grinned at him.
"Do we normally get left in rooms by ourselves?" he asked, noting the lack of overseer. "YOud' think the inmates could get together and plan something... right?"

He nodded at the priest’s comment on being a demon. He had been a shaman for over 1,500 years, so spiritual forms of any kind be they godlike, demonic or simple human ones were nothing for him.
“We talked about it… the other you and I, at least. Te main problem that pink girl passed, and I agree with, is that we might be safer here than outside. Maybe it will be normal once we leave, or maybe nightshift affect the whole world, and then we’d be in real trouble…not to mention we really have no idea where this place is.”

"However, we were transported here somehow, so it is logical that there is a way here that would allow us to be transported back. Perhaps like a hidden door or portal to other times and other places."

He tought about it.
"He used to be able to help me teleport, but as you might imagine, it doesn't work here."

"Well, I'm sure we'll be able to find more information about this place. I've heard the building reacts to you, which means it must be sentinent. Which means there must be a way to communicate with it, wouldn't you say?" Seeing as the shaman had experience with spirits he might have input on this.
Reply
"so far, the only interaction we'be had from the building is have gravity thrown off and be serverely beaten against walls whenever we do anything to demage it."
Reply
"That's probably because you keep on trying to beat it up, right? Remember, spirits have feelings too. If I were a building trying to house in people from various dimensions and all they did was try to poke holes into me, I'd probably throw things around at you just for fun. Of course, that's just me."
"Have you seen anyone else from your world here?" he asked. "Do you remember how you came here either?"
