[A pair of dorks coming from
here.]
"Hey, not everyone can pull off smiley face sweats." Cliff replied over his shoulder, leading the way more-or-less blind.
He stubbornly refused to turn on his flashlight. Having it with him should be enough and the sooner he became accustomed to the dulled senses, the better off he would be. It would just take some time.
He wasn't all that worried. He could just make out where the walls were (yay for not walking into any of them) and even Lust didn't seem to worried about encountering monsters in the hallways. So he figured he would be ok until he reached the rendezvous point with Fayt.
If nothing else, he had Havoc with him. He didn't know the other man very well but he was a friend of Hughes' and Cliff had a hunch he really was a decent guy.
He moved quickly anyway. Fayt..wasn't exactly prepared to deal with monsters. He didn't want the kid getting in over his head on his first day.
He was so busy trying to figure out the hallways (Ask for directions? Blasphemy.) that he all but crashed into a shorter figure. Whatever it was, he regained his balance quickly and grabbed it by the back of the...shirt?
