Day 17 [ Morning ]
A rush of almost soft white noise began to pour from the intercom, followed shortly by a deep amused voice. "Well, it seems like you're settling back in nicely. We can't have you all wearing yourselves out too much though, especially all our new arrivals." There was a brief, almost thoughtful pause. "Yes, I think it would be best if everyone returned to their rooms now. We have a full schedule tomorrow and the rest will do you good."
The voice fell silent, but the white noise grew gradually in volume, odd harmonics seeming to rise and fall in pulsing waves that made the building appear to shimmer and blur, matter softening to engulf the patients wandering within it. The next thing any would be aware of was the morning light streaming through the windows of their rooms.
