my hp rant

Wow... what a waste...I SPENT YEARS OF MY LIFE TO READ A REALLY LONG PLAGERIZED FAIRY TALE?!?!

To break it down...
Plagerism
1) Secret of Platform 13- almost the exact Harry/Dudley situation... except "harry" is not a wizard... but a prince in a fantasy world
2) Redwall Series (every single book)- you kill off loads of people in a good vs evil quest where good invariably wins while taking heavy losses, all of whom are secondary characters with major importance to the hero or heroine
3) Bedknobs and Broomsticks- how do you save a village (or castle) from destruction? why... get an army of wall statues to attack things for you...
4) Chrestomanci Quartet-
1) young "enchanters" who are underage and aren't taught magic yet have powers that they don't know they have and they do unexplained things....
2) also while being attacked by the bad guys they hole up inside thier castle while the gardeners line poisious plants along the parameter and the assorted booby traps...
5) King Arthur- sword in the lake? once and future king (wizard)?
6) Star Wars- see the facebook group...
7) CS Lewis- Children are heros and act nobly under the tutitlide of a great lion... there also seems to be some sort of new narnia that goes with a train station crash...
8) Tolkien- DEMENTORS... why not call them nazgul and be more accurate...(lias addition) LOCKETBearer? did someone say anything about carrying a ring that made them moody?
9) Animorphs- okay... alittle out there... animagus?
10)Da Vinci code- search for the holy grail that has something to do with picking up clues along the way?

Still she does a nice job...and its not my major complaint...
1) SHE WROTE THE LONGEST FAIRY TALE IN HISTORY!
Once upon a time Mr. and Mrs. Dursley of number 4 privet drive were proud to say that they were... (yes i have it memorized...)
Doesn't it make sense to say "and they lived happily ever after" at the end?

2) She kills no one of lasting importance (Lupin, since book 3, has always been my favorite character) meaning the triumverate.

THE ROOM OF REQUIREMENT PATHETIC Okay... so you need to get something done... so what do you do? You make a catch all failsafe spot for giving your characters anything (for those who play dnd this is like a bad dm just handing useful items to players through a pouch)she so totally and completely overused this plot device I was almost sick... honestly... um... okay i need a way to hogsmeade... um... room? oh... i need a practice area... um... room? oh...i need a place to hide stuff...um... room? oh... i need a place to hide stuff... um... room? ah...i need a place to drink tea... um... room? get the idea?

more to follow...
