It all starts with me not having batteries, which lead me to listen to the radio on the car ride home, which lead me to finding out about this USA Patriot Act that has been fully passed, and then argued by a secret panel of judges that they do not violate the constitution, that they are legal and that necesary actions must be taken in order to secure our national freedom. So let me get this straight you take away our freedom in order to protect our freedom? Is it me or does this not add up? Life during war time baby, Byrne was right! God it's scary. Ramble ramble ramble, sorry I apologize but things like this freak me out, they bother and annoy the hell out of me. Tapped Phone Lines, Sneak and Peeks, god just listen to that name alone, it smells like something from the Spy vs. Spy comics. Now my student records can be viewed by anyone, jesus does taking underwater basket weaving lead suspicion to believe I'm a terrorist, I'm a fucking actor, they need this? They need to know? Will I have to account for all of this when I select my courses for next semester? Wow Developement of Social and Psychological issues seems interesting but will taking it in combination with Stage Craft cause possible alarm that I might use these to harm my fellow Americans. The only harm that I could possibly due in my career path is to make a movie as horrible as Mr. Accident but even I'm not that evil.
I have a million things to say about this and yet I can't focus it so I'll best leave it alone, I'm pissed, I'm annoyed, I'm scared.
I leave three quotes for this post.
"I know for a fact that I will live to see the apocolypse." -Michael Schinn
"Trouble in transit, got through the roadblock
we blended in with the crowd
We got computers, we're tapping phone lines
I know that ain't allowed
We dress like students, we dress like housewives
or in a suit and a tie
I changed my hairstyle so many times now
don't know what I look like!"
-David Byrne.
"Uh-Oh"
-David Byrne
