I've finally come to the conclusion that so many of the things I do are a complete waste of my time, but that isn't a sufficient reason to stop doing them.

This journal is a keen example. I have, maybe, a handful of friends here and two of them comment semi-regularly. I guess that's fine, since you're really supposed to keep a journal for yourself and not because you feel that others truly deserve a direct line into your amazing life, and are simply dying to read about your daily activities. Seriously, blogging is severely overrated, and I am convinced that it continues to be so popular simply because people like to feel like they have a voice in something, and can actually be heard.

But I'm not saying that's wrong. Look at me, writing a blog entry.

Fine, since you're all so damned eager to hear about my day, here's how it went. I got to my studio much earlier than normal (0930), which meant that I had the chance to make this an extremely productive day indeed. By 1030 that idea had become less of a reality because I decided to fire up Warcraft instead of working on the images I had to get out today. A big lunch at Mr. and Mrs. G's house of home cooking pretty much put the cap on the Well of Productivity and relegated me to the Lounge of Lazy Souls, where one is only allowed to play video games all day. Damn that pot roast and banana pudding.

So today was an officially-assigned fuck-off day. Let's see how early I can get here tomorrow.

Mahalo.
