Lancelot
Sir Lancelot was one of the Knights of the Round Table, perhaps the most famous and most trusted of King Arthur's knights. Though, unfortunately, he is most known for his affair with Arthur's wife, Guinevere. At the peak of his fame, Elaine, daughter of the Fisher King, fell in love with him and tricked him into thinking she was Guinevere. They slept together, and the ensuing pregnancy resulted in the birth of Galahad.
In his quest for the Holy Grail, Lancelot, as an adulterer and man of earthly desires and honors, is only allowed to glimpse the grail itself. He cannot achieve it at all.
Ultimately, it is his affair with Guinevere that sets in motion the destruction of the Knights of the Round Table.

The illegitimate son of Sir Lancelot and Elaine of Corbenic, and a Knight of the Round Table. He is renowned for his gallantry and purity, and as such he is one of the three achievers of the Holy Grail, along with Sir Percival and Sir Bors.
Upon achieving the Grail, Galahad makes a request that he may die at the time of his choosing. When he does make the choice to die, he is carried up to heaven by angels.
