it's been a week now since i've decided an "arashi detox"..
my definition for an arashi detox is trying to minimize watching arashi videos from i-dont-have-any-idea-how-many-because-it-is-THAT-many to a maximum of two to three videos a day. why? uhh.. i dont have any idea.
pre-occupied myself with books. and i am quite glad that i did (my own version of) an arashi detox because its been a loooooooong time since i sat/ lazed around with a book. i enjoyed it. it was like being my old self, before all this rainbow crack craziness. re-read the twilight saga - it was actually because the second movie will soon be on theatres that i chose to read it. again. for the millionth time. i also read ps i love you, though i already read it before, i still cried.. >_< it's such a happy and sad story. and now, i am debating with myself if i should read love in time of cholera or the time traveler's wife.
aside from reading, i also tried my luck (..and challenge my artistic skill - if i do have that "skill") with pixel art. and man it was very frustrating. got this pixel art idea from
orangebandaid. and i know
hers is waaaaay better. i have been trying (and failing) to do this in the past, but it is just now that i was determined to do it properly. googled for pixel art tutorials, there were a lot of sites that appeared but it doesn't really say that much. and because i have all the time that i can waste, i settled with trial and error method, and some experimentation. anyway, i tried doing ARASHI M&M's. got that idea while munching on some m&m's minis. HAHAH. and drawing elongated circles is just right for a pixel art dummy like me.
this is how it turned out --
it isn't quite that bad. for a first timer. right? or maybe it was just for my standard. oh well. i love it. and am proud of it :D even though their eyes look like they just had a pot session. i am not claiming that they are ARASHI M&M's, just so i won't get bricked by other obsessed fan girls because i butchered them. it just happened that they have the same initials with those five guys in arashi. it was all a coincidence.
all right, who am i kidding. they are who they are.
i tried experimenting more. and it took me a day and a half (i think), to do this. and WOW i felt MORE THAN HAPPY when i finished it. showed it to my boyfriend and my sister and my parents first. hahahah. of course, no matter how crappy looking my work is, i know they'll still compliment it.
my masterpiece. my love. my babies.
their hairs gave me a VERY HARD TIME. but i didn't really do it on my own. i used
this as a reference. and magazine scans to check if i am doing the right hair style to who.
so there you go.. and before ending this up. these made me LOL-ed. i was dl-ing matsujun's angle in "eyes with delight" in their iza! now tour in MU. and this came up..
i laughed out reeeeeaaaaally hard. HAHAH.
mean penguin!!
