Don't mess with the pool pump.

Before work yesterday, I went to the bookstore to check out a few things. I found that Chuck Palahniuk's new novel, Haunted, was just relesed and on sale. So I picked that up instead of another STAR WARS novel. I've read two of those in row, and opted for a change. I read the first chapter and it further reinforced my itch to buy it. Now, I've read thre of his books so far. Fight Club, Choke, and Survivor. All three were entertaining in their own way, and this most recent one looked to be that way. I have just read the next story (this novel is a collections of stories that tell a larger story). I have to say that it was one of the hardest things I had to read EVER. Noe because it was bad, just grusome. Don't read the next part if you're faint.

I'll try to sum the story up.

this was a story about how this teenager liked to beat off in the pool, while puting his butt to the pool pump. Wait, it gets better. He ends up getting stuck to the pump, and having some of his intestines pulled out. this encounter goes on for a full four pages. That is not the whole story, but the most grusome, and detailed.

I had to put the book down and stop reading. I had no warning either, before I know it I reading how someone's guts feel like in your hand. Just a bit shocking.

anyway, I'm on to the store to buy groceries, I'm going to use the cookbook I got as well. Hopefully I can get this image out of my head.
