Musings

I haven't posted in some time. I hope to post more as time goes on and use this as a reflection space. I've been doing a lot of interior exploration lately, making me reluctant to share anything outside. But I think my musings may help other people as we struggle through life. That's why I'd post: perhaps I'll type something that will bring peace or joy in your life. Here it goes.

One Buddhist master said, "There are no enlightened beings, only enlightened actions."

The path never ends. Rich moments of understanding and joy fade into suffering and confusion. Each moment assaults us with new thoughts and new experiences. Life changes and we change with it.

We cannot expect to reach a point--high or low--that solidifies our identity or existence. We can only do our best to maintain a selfless, compassionate conduct.

I think this arises from our thoughts. Good thoughts lead to good action, and good action leads to good habit. We gradually chisel away the bad and substantiate the good, using each moment as a chance to change for the better.

And if we do fall, the next moment allows us to begin again. Sever the links. We are more than our past mistakes. We are what is, not what was or what will be. Examine for yourself if you don't believe me.
