I just finished a short story. I've been working on it for a while--not hard core, just puttering around with it from time to time. I'm sure of it now: finishing a good draft is indeed the best feeling in the world.

I feel like I'm free from the limitations of life, able to explore and do what I want to do. I feel accomplished and happy. It's a day unwasted!
