Seeing this list makes me realize how much of my money DC gets

The cutest little Scissor-Tail Flycatcher has decided to nest outside my office. I’ve seen him everyday this week and at the moment he’s perched on top of the handicapped parking sign right outside my window. I’m going to call him Bob cause he keeps bobbing his tail feathers up and down in the wind. I saw him beat up a Mockingbird yesterday. ( Read more... )

Batman AOD: I probably won't get my greedy paws on this until tomorow. My current computer access is the library's public terminals, and I don't have my flash drive with me, so downloading is kinda out of the question though. But with more devastating Bruce/Selina and Nightwing and Robin cameraderie of all things, there is no way I wanna miss out on this issue. I'm highly anticipating it.

Nightwing: *tries to force herself to care....fails utterly* I have recently realized my main problem with the Nightwing title. It's not the writing, the art, or the concept...it's the simple fact that Dick is not Tim and my money is prescious.

Green Arrow: You gotta love comic book weddings. I have very little interest in Ollie or Dinah's lives, but chances are that their wedding will have some interesting guests. I too, though, can't help but think that their engagement is already doomed. It's not that the characters aren't mature enough to make it work, but that the idea of Green Arrow and Black Canary being together but not *that* together is rather iconic. DC rarely messes with the iconic stuff for long. As for your Lois Lane comment, did I mention that I have a whole bunch of Lois Lane silver-age comics? That they are, in fact, the very origin of my love for Lois/Clark?

Outsiders: I will probably buy this book the day it changes writers and completely changes it's roster. So...possibly never. Again, the characters that make it unique are really of no interest to me.

The Batman: I think a lot of people just nay-say The Batman because they want the old Bruce Timm production back. I think it does a disservice to the current cartoon. Me, I love it. I think they do an adorable Dick Grayson and the managed the impossible and actually made me *like* Harley Quinn. That's not easy. I really do love their takes on the characters and hope to get my hands on the issue you described.

Countdown: I've seen the Jason Todd spoilers. I thought they were cool, but I also felt as though I had already seen enough.

Batman: Things were bound to get confusing with #666 on the horizon. Considering the Damien-as-Batman-in-the-future plot that have set up for that issue, the issue before it wasn't likely to make too much sense. I don't usually buy the title, but if it has possessive!Tim in the issue, I may just have to whip out some cash. Though actually, I like the fact that Bruce and Tim have become more protective/possessive regarding one another. It seems to make their relationship less of a "partner" thing and more of a "family" thing. Jason and Damien as the dyanmic duo...twisted minds thing alike. I've actually been working on a fanfic involving something like this. Still not sure if I'll manage to finish the darn thing though...

Checkmate: Boomer being stupid almost tempts me...but no.

Flash FMA: If it's got pretty Bart art, I may just get it.

JLA: I don't know much about LOSH either, but the show is adorable. Have you seen any episodes of it yet?

Allstar Bat & Bird: I will only pick this up if I somehow find myself magically in the money. I've actually been reading an excellent fanfic at bat_fic in which Allstar Bruce and Dick deal with "A Lonely Place of Dying" Tim. It's really quite awesome. Dark and scarry, but seemingly more sane than Miller's work.

Supergirl: This clinches it. I was gonna wait till tomorrow to go the the comic store, and now I'm not. EEEEEEE!!! Tim! Cassie! EEEEEE!! I havn't even seen the issue yet and I'm already filled with love. I'm gonna totally try to wrap this up now and run to B-bop before it closes.

TT & McKeever: I'll probably read and comment later. I gotta get to B-bop.
