I do have comic reviews from last week, but I think I'm gonna hold off and mix them in with this Wednesday's bunch. Instead, today I come with you bearing Good News of Great Joy!!
DC comics announced a new miniseries today called "Countdown to Adventure". It stars Adam Strange, Starfire, and Animal Man on Adventures in Space and will feature the talents of Adam Beechen, Eddy Barrows, Justin Gray, and Fabrizio Forientino. "Un"fortunately, in order to take this project on, Beechen must drop one of his other projects. So, He shall be handing his writing duties on Teen Titans over to Sean McKeever.
According to Newsarama: McKeever will join Johns, Marv Wolfman, Mike McKone, George Perez, Todd Nauck and other creators for August’s Teen Titans #50 “jam issue,” and then head off on his own with September’s #51 with artist Randy Green.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU GOD! OH MY GOD THIS IS SUUUUCH GOOD NEWS! Titans has been seriously languishing under writers who do not understand and have forgotton the feeling of Teen angst and instead write what they think Teen is like. Sean McKeever writes teens really well. His run on Spiderman Loves Mary Jane was unadulterated awesome. Randy Green is the one who drew the very pretty Tim and Dick on the cover of Titans #47. He is also a recent acquisition from Marvel comics.
This is such awesome news. I can't wait for this fall's Titans issues.
