Ok, so I havent done an update thing here in a while. Here goes:
New job in Addison. It's a 45 minute commute each way in average traffic. Ick. Job is nice though. It's stuff I enjoy doing and I have a fair amount of leeway to do it. No one micromanaging me. laid back, small office. Nice. It has a drawback (?) of knowing waaaaay to many recipes using Kraft foods, as half my job is reading recipes and picking out the Kraft items in them.
Catwoman sometimes makes me disolve into nervous and slightly insane laughter. Kat is really saving me here with Ex Tempus and 14 and 15. Writing, on the other hand, goes along marvelously smooth. Next week we sit down and plunk out 17 from the super detailed outline we did in May.
I keep putting off Blue Harvest stuff, I think cause my brain says "Oh, I'll do it at work tomorrow" then I get busy at work with actual work. Curse having a work ethic! Still, season 3 outline is awesome, Bill is working on 25 and we will have an ultra detailed outline as soon as I get off my ass about it.
Cover art is on schedule! As usual. Seth, you're going to get one of your long time wishes of having a certain chef on a cover, but it's probably not the way he'd like to be seen......... And I'm not going to take an off month, even though Dixie is on it's off month. That way I'll be a month ahead on covers. Sweet.
Acting is all caught up. Sometime this weekend I need to sit and do Diana lines and Sawyer lines and Talia lines (Since my mic was SO screwed up at the rehearsal Sunday night) Still, doing Diana does not take up NEARLY as much time as Troia, except where the voice takes longer to get right and, oh, yeah, TONS OF PRESSURE! I'm sure by September when my first Diana episode comes out, I will have turned into a diamond from all the pressure of having to be Wonder Woman after Darian's friggin long ass and kickass run.
And it dawned on me as I was driving to work this morning that next weekend Kat is going to Six Flags with friends, then the next weekend after that she is MOVING HERE! OMG! OMGOMG!! It's finally here! There will be a month or so of extreme lulz, I'm sure, while my house is packed full of humans and felines and canine, but still. Kat and I predict our workloads to become suddenly 50x more productive since we wont be spending 30 seconds out of every minute typing to each other. SOON MY BIFFLE WILL BE HERE.
In other news, it's been over 100 degrees every day for the past week. That's not terrible if you start out in the morning outside and stay outside but in the shade and well hydrated all day. It's actually kind of nice in an odd way because you sweat out a ton of toxins and feel, in general, better. It's terrible, however, when you go from inside a 70 degree office building out into the 102 degree outdoors then into the 115 degree car that by the time you get home has finally cooled to 78 or so just in time for you to get out into the 100 degree weather again. That's what kills you.
