(LOL it was still to long, had to make two comments!)
Moreover, being as that he was in the national guard rather than the army, navy, marines, air force, the chances of him being in a black-op are even lower. Why would they send someone with as little experience as he had when there are so many others more qualified?
But personally, this whole military-issue in this election is making me sick. Maybe bush was awol for the war, maybe he wasn't, but he still had training regardless. Kerry may or may not have "exaggerated" his time in 'Nam, but he still went, he still fought, he still served.
These swift-boat vetrans disgust me. They didn't serve with Kerry. The people that did serve with Kerry, his 'boss' or whatever you call it has finally come out and said look, he did what he said now shut up. Maybe I'm crazy, but i'd take his word over john doe who wasn't even on kerry's boat. They're not just taking a jab at Kerry, but all the people who served with him. That's not right.
Then the people who are in an uproar because he came back from war and protested it... that's not a "flip-flop" he served because it was his duty. He came back and spoke out against the war-crimes because, obviously, war-crimes are bad. but he also worked to stop the war in order to PROTECT the soldjers that were still over there fighting, to bring them home.
I dont know why they dont just stick to the usual health care economy security mumbojumbo that elections are supposed to be about.
And vietnam pisses the fuck outta me. Fucking useless war. Fucking agent orange.
War is bad.
Oh, but what I was going to say originally... LOL... that ad thing is very smart. Not enough people take action. Most may be informed but choose to do nothing about it. Look at the patriot act... rights will be stripped from us left and right if everyone just silently disagreed. So really, i dont think it was a jab to any particular group of people. Just people in general need to step up.
I tried very hard to make that not-debateish... hope it worked!
