Because it is politicaly savvy and cynical at the same time and we need more songs like that. I wish I had lived in the 60's

and no she's being stabbed
Maybe we should call the cops
And try to stop the pain
but Monopoly is so much fun
and I'd hate to blow the game
And I'm sure it wouldn't interest anybody
outside of a small circle of friends

I grew up listening to Tom Leher (which probably explains alot)and this is a classic
All the world seems in tune on a spring afternoon when we're poisoning pigeons in the park
Every sunday you'll see my sweetheart and me when we're poisoning pigeons in the park
When they see us coming the birdies all try and hide
but they still go for peanuts when coated with cyanide
The sun's shining bright everything seems alright
when we're poisoning pigeons in the the park
lalala.....
We've gained noterity and caused much anxiety in the Audobon Society with our games
They call it impiety and lack of propriety and pleanty of other unpleasent names
but it's not against any religion to want to dispose of a pigeon
And a bonus one cuz lily only did five even though she meant to do this one
