A nano can't hold all of my music, let alone your music, and you are a music-aholic compared to me. Therefore: video.

Yeah, I'd have to get a 60 gb to hold everything at this point.

I couldn't even fit everything onto that. When I realized that, I decided that I might as well go with something in the <10GB range next time. I think I actually enjoy listening to music on my iPod more when I had to put some thought in advance into picking what actually went on there.

iTunes' smart playlists are fun to mess around with and make it a pretty simple process, though. Right now I put all songs from 2006 + songs that I've marked specifically as "5 stars" (I don't normally use the rating system, just for the 5-star list) on my 20GB old model. Look forward to having a much smaller form factor and no spinning hard disk, though.

PS With your student discount, the 4gb nano is $229 and the 30gb video is $269. A $40 difference. Listen to your mother.
