today i learned how to jump a car without a battery. it is complicated and it involves sparks and smoke and draining the battery of the other person (me). this is okay though because my bosses car battery got stolen and i needed to suck up. everyone wins. i'm upset about this situation because it is not fair that his battery gotten stolen. he has been living and working in this neighborhood for 30 years and all the hoodlums should know this by now and leave him alone. unless they're young hoodlums. in which case the older hoodlums should have explained the situation to the younger hoodlums. hoodlums.
i went to a concert last night and it was great. It was pharcyde, talib kweli and the roots. we got there late and missed pharcyde, talib kweli was sick, but the roots were great. really great. and in homage to their ill tour-mate they played a talib kweli medley which turned into a top 40 hip hop medley. you may think this is stupid or annoying but it is neither. the roots can play anything. lots of dancing and legal drinking, no security guard evading, and a little bit of rasheed wallace meeting. THAT'S RIGHT. meeting rasheed wallace. i've been talking about this too much.
today i begin my stint of house/dogsitter. i was nervous at first because of a story about the last person who house/dog sat involving break ins and detroit cops and lots of weed. but after seeing the house i am more excited because a) i can eat anything i want, b) they have internet and c) they have a jacuzzi. SHIT. and the dog seems nice, whatever. i kind of wish they were going to be gone for longer. i'm going over there after work which should be soon because even though i technically have an hour left at work there is no one here. NO ONE. i don't know where everyone is, but they are NOT HERE.
