Liberty/An Enemy of Fate: top five moments from the Fringe series finale.

I am going to miss this show, but I honestly couldn't have asked for a better finale. Farewell, Fringe, and thanks for the ride.

"You are my favourite thing, Peter. My very favourite thing." If after five seasons of this show you weren't yet convinced that John Noble deserves far more critical recognition for his performance in this role, this scene should have done it for you. I would swear someone was standing directly on top of my heart as I watched.

"It's a beautiful name."
"What is?"
"Astrid."

"Hey, stop checking out my younger ass." I loved that we got to see the Other side one last time and that they were able to help Olivia. Loved the Lincoln/Olivia moments, the way he looked at her, their exchange about the choices they've both made. Isn't it funny the way things turn out? Indeed.

Badass cortexiphan-dosed Olivia takes Windmark out. Awesome, and a completely fitting end for the Captain.

"That's being a father." I knew that the episode wouldn't end with September going along into the future with Michael instead of Walter, but this was still a lovely scene that allowed us to see the completion of September's emotional evolution and struck at the heart of what the Fringe mythology is all about - sacrifice and the love of a father for his child.
