My son has developed a charming habit of using the word "sure" as an emphatic modifier. As in, "It sure is!" or "I sure am!" He's like a spirited little urchin popped straight out of a storybook and into my arms. Perhaps I should buy him a newsboy cap and teach him to also say things like "Gee Willikers!" and "Golly, Mister!"
