In recent times, I have loved..
Whip It. The unapologetic girl power theme makes me forgive the predictability. I developed a major crush on Juliette Lewis as a result of this movie. Time to look into her filmography? I think so. Also, anybody know where I can buy a pair of roller skates?
The Kate Moss/Jamie Hince wedding editorial in the September issue of Vogue. Specifically,
this photo. Beyond words. The whole spread makes me want to get married all over again.
Beirut's The Rip Tide. (I don't know why it isn't available yet on Amazon. I most definitely purchased it in electronic format on iTunes.) I discovered this album via a playlist on
Vogue.com of all places, and it is filled with folky melodic good-for-the-soul-ness. It's like cottages by the sea and spontaneous dancing in the city square. Really, it's so lovely. It makes me blissfully gushy and nonsensical.
The video of Anderson Cooper's giggle fit on The RidicuList that I'm sure you've all seen already, but, just in case you haven't, it's freaking adorable.
I want to see Fright Night. I love Colin Farrell, and I am unashamed. I also want to see
this. I love the Muppets, too. Actually, if you don't love the Muppets, I kind of feel sad for you.
New Project Runway season! I have a lot of favourites - Anthony Ryan, Anya, Danielle. And Tim Gunn, always. He kills me in the intro with his, "How do I show attitude? *exaggerated pose* Attitude."
