smiling like lunatics, I love Cat Deeley

Birthday highlights included dinner with my family (sweet potato fries, chicken pita from this amazing Greek place I love, and ice cream cake from Marble Slab Creamery) and a viewing of Night of the White Pants. Night of the White Pants! Okay, so it wasn't a hugely impressive film, but I love Fran Kranz and Nick Stahl, and that was enough for me. 28 feels...older.

Supernatural has been hitting it out of the park lately, no? I especially enjoyed "Changing Channels". Making the Trickster Gabriel was an interesting move and explained why Dean & Sam never seemed to be able to kill the guy, in addition to the Trickster's apparent overwhelming need to teach Sam a lesson in "Mystery Spot". Also: the theme songs! Dr. Sexy! a bicycle built for two! Hee!

I want to put the Christmas tree up this weekend, but the husband, though wonderful, is something of a Scrooge when it comes to the holidays. He says it is too early. I disagree! Canadian Thanksgiving happens in October. 'Tis the season. Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Watching SYTYCD top 16 performance show. Not going to lie, Legacy makes me blush.

Yay, Nicole! Way to hold it down for all us shy awkward dorks. I did feel bad for Laura, who was awesome on the runway and seems like a very sweet person. She'll do well, I'm sure. Oh, also, I thought it was silly that Tyra referred to Nicole as petite. Hi, 5'7" is not petite.

Abi likes to collect things when we go for walks. Pine cones, dandelions, sticks. It is really sweet.
