From what I've read, this week's episode of Supernatural has fans rather polarized in their opinions of it, but, honestly, after viewing, I don't really have strong feelings either in the love or hate direction. Instead, I found myself easily swayed, if not quite blown over, by the little things.
For example, the premise was a little silly and contrived, but I've found
Rob Benedict completely adorkable ever since his short-lived science fiction series
Threshold, (though I am mildly bummed that he has since shorn
his lovely curly hair). Also, Castiel helping Dean in a wink wink nudge nudge sort of way made me all sorts of squeeful. Oh oh and, fangirl publishing chick was super cute and funny.
SCC. Fair warning, guys, if this show gets cancelled, I may cry. For days.
I am still in shock over Derek's demise. It was just so abrupt, without any of the theatrics one would usually expect to surround the death of a main character. One bullet to the head, the end. Damn. And then Sarah got arrested, which I didn't see coming AT ALL. As if John wasn't broken enough already - who does he have left? (I half expected Cameron to step in and rescue Sarah from the fuzz, but then my husband corrected me: saving Sarah is not Cameron's objective.) The look on John's face when he turned to Ellison at the end was just...GUH. This show deserves more eloquence than I have to offer at 8:30 in the morning.
I was hoping Sarah would get to meet with Weaver, because surely she of all people would be able to figure out that Weaver isn't human.
The actor playing John Henry is quite good.
Dollhouse.
- still don't find Ballard or Caroline all that compelling, and that opening scene was all kinds of creepy
- needs more Boyd
- November's story broke my heart.
- Adelle kind of rocks.
- I enjoyed the mode of storytelling in this episode, and I like that at least a few of the House staff characters are beginning to emerge as more sympathetic - Dr. Saunders and Boyd especially stand out to me, but Adelle is there too (though things are somewhat more complex with her).
