I was tagged by
_findlay to do this meme, so here we go.
1. I tag:
everybody.
2. What is your most guilty pleasure?
The Food Network.
3. Have you ever seen someone die?
No.
4. Are you confused as to what lies ahead of you?
Maybe a little as far as my career or lack thereof is concerned.
5. What was the last book you read for pleasure and would you recommend it?
Right before I had Abi, I finished The Master & Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov, a Soviet satire. I would recommend it, sure; it's clever and witty and weird, but probably not for everyone.
6. Name a personal hero.
My husband.
7. If a person you like doesn't feel the same way, would you continue to wait for them to change their feelings?
Probably not. Their loss.
8. If a person you secretly like is already attached, what would you do?
This is an interesting question, and I have to be honest. When I met Scott, he was with someone else at the time. I didn't develop feelings for him until later on, and by that time we were both dating other people, but more interested in each other. I do regret the way certain things went down at the time, but I (of course!) will never regret the fact that we eventually ended up together.
9. Is there anything that made you unhappy recently?
Lack of sleep.
10. What do you want most in life?
Just a happy, healthy family.
11. Which of the 7 Deadly Sins do you think you relates to the most & why?
"Aw hell, I'm a fan of all seven." - (Malcolm Reynolds) No, not really. I would probably say vanity (aka pride), though absolutely not to the extent that Dante defines it. Caring too much about how I look is all I mean, not "love of self perverted to hatred and contempt for one's neighbor." (
Pride - Source)
12. If you find out that your best friend is hooking up with your boyfriend / girlfriend, how would you react?
Well, obviously I'd be pretty upset, but since he's my husband and we have a child together and all that, (after a major freakout) I would probably ask him if he sincerely had any interest in staying with me and working things out. I don't know. It's really hard to say. Whether or not I'd be willing to forgive him and stick around would be dependent on a lot of different factors. As for the best friend, I'm not sure.
13. Who is currently the most important person to you?
My husband and baby girl. Can't I have two?
14. What kind of person do you think you are?
I used to think I was mildly eccentric, but I'm not so sure any more. I'm reserved, introspective. A tired mommy.
15. Do you believe there is nothing higher than human kind?
I assume this question is asking about belief or disbelief in God, and so I'll say, the existence of God is possible, but as of yet we have not seen any evidence to support it and therefore cannot say for sure. I do, however, believe in the existence of life forms more advanced than our own on other planets in other galaxies. This seems more likely than the existence of an omniscient spiritual being. (Then again, maybe they are one and the same. I imagine this idea has been examined in sci-fi before, beyond Scientology fare. Does anyone know?)
16. Which fictional character could you most see yourself marrying?
Daniel Faraday. I had a dream last night that he was off the island and showing me his latest experiment on rodents, and then we made out in a parking lot. Not in a car though, just out in a parking lot & Notebook-style, which is hilarious to me - apparently in my dreams I weigh only 110 pounds.
17. Would you give your all in a relationship?
Yes.
18. Do you have a motto? If yes, which one.
I probably should, but alas, I do not.
19. What type of friends do you like?
I guess just open-minded, kind people with the ability and inclination to joke around but who can also take things seriously when the situation calls for it. I'm a little wary of anyone who talks a lot of trash about others, because, in my experience, chances are they're doing the same to me behind my back. Ew, drama. Do not want.
20. Do you have an all time favourite song?
I have a few all time favourites: "Let it Be" and "Here Comes the Sun" by The Beatles, "Dance With You" by Live, Led Zeppelin's "Tangerine", and Bob Dylan's "Mr. Tambourine Man".
This meme has been going around as well, and I think it's sort of a cool idea, so long as nobody gets too wild and crazy..
Everyone has things they blog about. Everyone has things they don't blog about. Challenge me out of my comfort zone by telling me something I don't blog about, but you'd like to hear about, and I'll write a post about it. Ask for anything: latest movie watched, last book read, political leanings, thoughts on yaoi, favourite type of underwear, graphic techniques, etc. Repost in your own journal so that we can all learn more about each other.
Parting thoughts. Amy Adams is so purty, and mango gelato is delicious.
